Recreating 2000’s Beachy Movie Makeup Looks with Faux Freckles - PSEUDO LABS

Recreating 2000’s Beachy Movie Makeup Looks with Faux Freckles

Remember how Aquamarine (2006) had all of us wanting blue highlights and starfish earrings after obsessing over the looks in the movie? Yeah, we’re still obsessed too. Maybe it was the eternal summer vibes or the fact that we all wanted to be ethereal mermaids like Sara Paxton? Either way, there are so many summer-themed movies that evoke the nostalgia of summers full of swimming in the ocean all day, playing games with friends, and teaming up to have the best outfits to go out for the night. I swear blue clip-in extensions had me thinking I was the next Aquamarine when all of my friends and I rolled up to the mall on the weekends. But what about the countless beachy movies that had the main characters absolutely serving looks? There’s nothing quite like the 2000’s era styling and makeup looks that says summer more. To channel this “main character” energy, we decided to recreate these iconic summer movie makeup moments using Pseudo Labs PHreckles. Because it wouldn’t be summer without a few freckles, right?

Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008)

Mila Kunis is a sun-kissed icon in this movie. Her makeup look is subtle, but highlights her high points like a pro! This is a fun look to recreate for a beach day or a dinner with friends. @itscaroxline recreates this memorable look using PHreckles in Shade 03!

Aquamarine (2006)

It’s the unforgettable color-changing nails, starfish earrings, monochrome blue outfits, and makeup that truly make this movie one of the most nostalgic summer movies. A blue or metallic liner paired with your favorite mascara will have you giving off mermaid energy in no time. Top off your look with PHreckle Shade 01 to pull it all together.

Mamma Mia (2008)

This movie had us wanting to ditch our everyday lives and start fresh in Greece with a new boo. Mamma Mia (2008) is not only a classic, but the free-spirited energy the film emanates is undeniable. Nothing has us wanting hair extensions and bold lashes immediately after this film more. All you need is to dust on a golden shadow, a bright blush, and PHreckles in Shade 01 to recreate a Mamma Mia-inspired makeup look this summer.

50 First Dates (2004)

Drew Barrymore takes the cake. With such a unique storyline her subtle makeup makes us envious of such a homey Hawaiian summer. A shimmery SPF and rosy lip will help get you this look. Top it off with PHreckles in Shade 02 for bold freckles that make you look perfectly sun-kissed.
